Charges ‘unlikely’ a year after man killed by Winter Park police, family lawyer says

A year after the fatal shooting of Daniel Knight by Winter Park police, the case continues to raise questions as criminal charges are now considered unlikely. Speaking at a press conference, Attorney Guy Rubin, representing the Knight family, criticized the lack of progress and pointed to delays and limited transparency in the investigation.

The Rubin Firm Trial Lawyers are preparing to file a lawsuit seeking the release of key evidence, including radio communications and surveillance footage from the scene. The case highlights ongoing concerns surrounding accountability, access to information, and the investigative process in officer-involved shootings.
