A lawsuit has been filed by the family of Perry Cohen nearly two years after he and his friend Austin Stephanos disappeared at sea off the Jupiter coast. The civil suit, filed on behalf of Perry’s estate, names multiple members of Austin’s family and alleges negligent entrustment, supervision, and failure in ensuring proper safety measures.
Attorney Guy Rubin is representing the Cohen family, seeking accountability in connection with the decisions that led to the teens venturing into open water without essential safety equipment or a proper voyage plan.
