In 11th hour, judge reverses, grants TFA injunction against FHSAA penalties

The judge has granted a temporary injunction allowing The First Academy football team to remain eligible for the FHSAA state playoffs, reversing an earlier setback in a last-minute decision. The ruling comes just before playoff brackets were finalized, giving the team a chance to compete while the case moves forward.

Attorney Paul Aloise, representing the players’ parents, played a key role in securing the emergency injunction as the legal challenge continues. A final decision now depends on an upcoming evidentiary hearing, which will determine whether the injunction remains in place.
