A Tallahassee man has filed a lawsuit against the Leon County Sheriff’s Office following a 2018 arrest that was later found to be based on a mistaken substance. Miles Evora alleges he was wrongfully detained and subjected to excessive force, including being tased and physically assaulted during the incident.
Paul Aloise, representing Evora, have brought multiple claims including false arrest, malicious prosecution, negligence, and emotional distress. The case highlights serious concerns over law enforcement procedures, use of force, and the reliability of field testing methods.
