The First Academy’s playoff bid falls short as judge rules in favor of FHSAA ban

A judge has ruled in favor of the FHSAA, dissolving The First Academy’s temporary injunction and keeping the team’s postseason ban in place. The decision means the Royals will not participate in the Class 1A playoffs, reversing a prior ruling that briefly restored their eligibility.

Attorney Paul Aloise, representing the TFA players, had filed the emergency injunction in an effort to lift the ban. With the ruling now finalized, the team’s season concludes as playoff positions move forward without them.
